Experience:
Applicants must have 52 weeks or will have within 120 days of the closing of this announcement specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service which includes. Examples of specialized experience includes providing support and assistance in administering special programs, special events and sports programs that support the fitness readiness needs of the active duty military, family members and DOD civilians. In a concierge type manner researches, gathers, and provides information on a variety of leisure activities in the military and civilian communities such as special events, festivals, community programming, parks & recreations programming, and other information that is of a leisure interest to the personnel served. Plans and coordinates the details for recurring activities/events as to make maximum use of available resources. Insures the equipment stock supports the interests and needs of the population served. OR EDUCATION:
4-year course of study above high school leading to a bachelor's degree with courses related to the occupation, if required OR COMBINATION OF EDUATION AND EXPERIENCE. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in- grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-4 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-5 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of sports, sports rules, fitness programs, special events, and intramural and varsity sports. 2. Knowledge of customer service practices and principles to include interaction with part, telephone courtesy, reservations and associated practices and principles as obtained through previous experience or in-house training sessions. 3. Ability to administer basic concepts of special programs, events and sports. 4. Knowledge of proper use and operation of electronic and mechanical fitness equipment and supplies associated with fitness and sports. 5. Knowledge of and proficiency in a variety of lifesaving and associated techniques surrounding first aid and CPR. 6. Ability to demonstrate use of cardiovascular equipment, free weights and nautilus equipment to patrons. 7. Knowledge of basic accounting and inventory procedures and basic computer programs, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc . 8. Knowledge of a variety of Fitness center rules, work procedures, equipment and materials. 9. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID
Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK
Experience:
Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
