SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST

This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the Professional work category are at the Senior work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. SPECIALIZED

knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, independently analyze and resolve difficult and complex security problems; apply policy direction to contractors and government/military officials, and develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various levels or degrees of security controls. knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in a professional or administrative occupation and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments; comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of a technical field and skill in applying this knowledge to the development of new methods, approaches, or procedures; Note:

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, independently analyze and resolve difficult and complex security problems; apply policy direction to contractors and government/military officials, and develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various levels or degrees of security controls. 2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. 3. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization. 4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately to a wide range of audiences. 5. Knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices and security program interrelationships to coordinate the objectives and plans of two or more specialized programs and to assist managers in complying with established security programs to support and promote information sharing and strategies. 6. Skill in developing, analyzing, and evaluating multiple security programs (Personnel, Physical, and Information) to meet mission requirements and improve organization security programs. 7. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
