PROGRAM SPECIALIST

Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes:
Insuring implementation of policies and procedures support both peacetime and contingency mission requirements for force support (FS) unit requirements and applicable commander's support staff (CSS) requirements. Serves as command point of contact for Department of Defense (DoD), higher, lateral, and subordinate HHQ for force integration issues. Ensures that all units and associated program execution functions receive appropriate advocacy and oversight to meet mission requirements and align with Chief, Air Force Reserve (CAFR) priorities. Analyzes and evaluates substantive personnel programs; developing management policies, procedures, guidelines and standards for AFR units to enhance efficiency of FS/CSS programs. Uses initiative, extensive experience, and judgement while interpreting policies and instructions sometimes vague in nature to resolve conflicts in guidance. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in- grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of wide range of manpower concepts, principles, operations, laws, regulations, programs, and practices; knowledge of a wide range of personnel (civilian and military) concepts, principles, operations, laws, regulations, programs, and practices; knowledge of a wide range of services concepts, principles, operations, laws, regulations, programs, and practices; and practical knowledge of education, readiness, and budget execution concepts, principles, operations, and practices. Extensive knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structure, management, and operation of medium to medium to large organizations to provide high level staff guidance and participate in the development of goals, objectives, and policies. Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures related to developing, planning, budgeting, and coordinating activities for program support and needs. Skill in managing the work operations of multiple organizational segments to meet program requirements, goals, and objectives within available resources. Skill and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals, both oral and written; prepares and delivers briefings, leads discussions, conducts meetings, and prepares project and staff reports. Thorough knowledge of data systems utilized for management and control of military personnel, budget directives, methods, and procedures for systems operations. Ability to apply sound judgement to determine the best course of action and possess the initiative to take independent actions with assigned tasks. PART-TIME OR UNPAID

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
