ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC - TITLE 32
As an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic, WG-2610-13, you will:
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on one or more multi-complex electronic integrated systems. Complete operational checks, inspections, tests, trouble shooting, removal and replacement of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) which are linked with integrated systems and LRUs which are independent or associated with nonintegrated systems. Review and analyze maintenance data; determines if criteria are sufficient to provide adequate test, troubleshooting and repair procedures; devises and recommends tests, procedural changes, or data corrections. Advise Aerospace Engineering personnel on the operation and maintenance effects of proposed Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO) modifications on new or existing equipment. Troubleshoot operational malfunctions and analyzes system performance utilizing aircrew debrief data, Technical Orders, schematic and wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, data analysis, common and system-specific test equipment and built in system tests. Perform on and off-equipment maintenance on systems such as automatic flight control, instruments, communication, navigation, and inertial navigation. Coordinate back shop bench check (if applicable, completes testing, repair, inspection, modification, programming, reprogramming, mating, adjusting, alignment, and analyzing of LRUs and shop replaceable units (SRUs). Conduct aircrew debriefing to determine the nature of system malfunctions. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience:
Must possess experience which demonstrates the applicants knowledge of electronic theories and practices to identify, isolate and repair malfunctions in one or more complex integrated systems where knowledge of the entire system is necessary to interpret error data and trace back through a number of units of the system to locate deficiencies. Thorough knowledge of principles of digital and analog circuits, electro-mechanical devices, solid state devices, digital techniques, synchro/servo operation and integrated circuit theory. Ability to interpret and trace schematics, logic and wiring diagrams and use a wide variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). Specialized
Experience:
Candidate must have 36 months specialized experience in addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
