SUPERVISORY INSPECTOR GENERAL

Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-03, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-13 or equivalent in the Federal Service to serve as the Inspector General (IG), with responsibility to review and oversee Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force (AF), and wing/center programs to determine compliance with laws, guidelines, and objectives. Provides technical guidance, advisory support, policy, and direction for programs such as the Air Force Inspection System (AFIS); Complaints Resolution Program; Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) Program; Strategic Plans and Programs; and the Commander's Inspection Program (CCIP). KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of complex inspection, investigation, enforcement, and/or compliance principles, concepts, and practices; as well as knowledge of Public Laws, Executive Orders, DoD Regulations, Air Force Instructions, administrative and legal procedures, and other decisions/standards related to agency activities and IG programs sufficient to conduct interviews, inspections, and investigations to analyze the nature of the complaint and specific issues to be addressed. 2. Knowledge of Air Force, MAJCOM, and installation program goals and objectives; IG functions, operations, policies, procedures, and practices; the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones; and the relationship of various installation entities involved in overall program planning and execution of military operations and evaluations. 3. Knowledge of personnel management, EEO, and safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. 4. Skill in assessing program needs to accomplish goals and objectives, evaluate program status, and recommend or implement solutions for improvement. 5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors; and to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. 6. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing; as well as using tact and diplomacy during difficult circumstances to advise/inform on complicated, sensitive, and occasionally controversial issues. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
