Type of Appointment: This is a fulltime, Excepted Permanent dual status position, which requires Georgia Air National Guard membership.

Summary: This position is located in the Intelligence Operations function within Air Operations of Air National Guard flying units. This position serves as the Senior Intelligence Analyst for the assigned Wing and as such is responsible to provide training, advise on, administer and disseminate intelligence information. This work directly supports military operations in mission areas such as low intensity conflict, homeland defense, Force Protection, counter-terrorism, show-of-force, special operations, alert homeland defense, combat operations, and/or intelligence collection missions.
Permanent Change of Station (PCS): PCS is not authorized.
Relocation Incentive: Relocation incentive is not authorized.
Background Check: Selectee may, at the option of the agency, be required to submit to criminal, credit history, and general background checks which will be evaluated by the agency prior to a final offer of employment and access into the Georgia National Guard Federal Technician or Active Guard/Reserve program.
National Guard Membership: This position requires military membership. It is designated for Georgia Air National Guard Officer incumbent only. In accordance with ANG regulations, incumbent performs duties necessary to accomplish Intelligence Operations Specialist functions in support of programs essential to state Air National Guard daily operations, training and readiness missions.
As a member of a unit of the Georgia Air National Guard, you will be required to train with your unit, normally one weekend a month and 15 days of annual training each year. Georgia Air National Guard units and members are subject to immediate call to federal or state active duty to meet national or state emergencies.
Must be a current U.S. Citizen. Under 5 USC 2108 & 5 CFR 211, Veteran''s Preference criteria does not apply. Direct Deposit Banking is Mandatory. Military Requirement: Offficer AFSC X14N3.
The following list is not comprehensive but provides a snapshot of some of the duties that may be required of this position:
Serves as the unit's expert intelligence analyst for the commander and staff on all intelligence matters, including intelligence processes, support requirements, technical aspects of weapons systems, and terrorist operational methods.
Assures the Intelligence function maintains a capability to provide timely and accurate operational intelligence support and fully trained intelligence personnel during peacetime and contingency operations.
Gains and maintains Global Situational Awareness (GSA) in order to quickly and accurately advise commanders/decision-makers on possible enemy courses of action.
Researches, evaluates, integrates, and analyzes all-source data in the preparation of clear, concise, in-depth intelligence analytical products focusing on the threats to air operations, including the operational concepts of military forces and trends with potential military implications (e.g. research and development; production; delivery systems; doctrine; and capabilities) prepared in response to mission requirements.
Must present and defend intelligence positions to a variety of audiences, including unit staff, MAJCOM representatives, and members of the DoD.
Develops and oversees the execution of the unit's Internal Intelligence Training Program for all Title-32 assigned intelligence personnel.
Develops and directs the External Intelligence Training Program for all operations personnel.
Provides training assistance to other agencies, functional areas, or organizations upon request to include staff training assistance, staff advice, training materials, and participation in inspection of other air intelligence operations.
Plans, organizes, establishes, and manages the methodology for deployment and conduct of intelligence operations during contingency operations.
Prepares and develops finished intelligence inputs for unit exercise scenarios, analytical studies, and war games.
Oversees and establishes procedures for the maintenance of a comprehensive intelligence publications reference library that is tailored to the unit mission and area of operations.
Provides in-depth research and analysis of the Force Protection situation at home station and all deployed locations.
Prepares and manages the budgeting of fiscal and personnel resources for the intelligence function.
Serves as the Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO) of the organization and exercises overall oversight of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs.

Experience: Minimum eligibility requirements for positions in the occupation are based on possession of the appropriate aircrew certifications and/or appropriate military training requirements. Candidates must demonstrate possession of the knowledge skills and abilities (KSAs) required for the position by meeting the minimum experience requirements as described in the gaining command directives. Additionally, candidates must hold the Intelligence AFSC and trained to support 116th ACW aircraft. Minimum flight experience requirements must be verified on a Flying History report.

Experience: Applicant must possess a minimum of above specialized experience that provided the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) as listed below. Such experience is gained in a line of work or training program similar to or closely related to the work of the position to be filled.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements will be further evaluated by the Selecting Official based on the following KSAs considered essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Ability to satisfactorily meet all requirements of an aeronautical order position to enable performance of duties as an aircrew member on the E-8C.
Knowledge of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance capabilities, cross-cue techniques and intelligence fusion processes.
Ability to relate expert knowledge of all aspects of intelligence as it pertains to tactical decision-making.
Ability to analyze and evaluate raw intelligence related data and information to assist the aircrew mission accomplishment process and compile finished reports.
Knowledge of aircrew procedures and crew coordination requirements.
Skill in researching and compiling intelligence information to be disseminated in an instructional setting.
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, and to communicate in task-saturated, high stress environments.
Knowledge of Air Tasking Orders (ATOs), Special Interest Items (SPINS), Airspace Control Orders (ACOs), and mission planning processes and procedures.
For positions requring a security clearance _(Secret or Top Secret),_ selectee must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
National Guard Compatibility: Once an applicant is selected and prior to being placed in the technician position, the selectee must be assigned to any unit in the Georgia Air National Guard as an Officer member in AFSC: X14N3.
