RN - Cath Lab
Provides for the comfort and well-being of the patient while in Houston Heart Institute.
# Assists cardiologist during cardiovascular/peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures.
# Becomes proficient in the operation of all cardiovascular/peripheral related equipment and in the performance of any related duties of cardiovascular/peripheral procedures.
# Assists with PI, P#P and staff education.
# Will perform in other areas of Cardiology including Holter monitor hook-up/ report retrieval, IABP, TEE#s, cardiac rehabilitation, fluoroscopy, pacemakers, and hemodynamic monitoring.
# Call rotation required with immediate response and 30 minute arrival time from notification.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing;##None.
Residency or Fellowship programs may apply depending on department and experience.
Current licensure by the Georgia State Board of Nursing.
# Current AHA BLS certification, required.
# ACLS certification required or obtained within 9 months of employment.
Residency or Fellowship programs may apply depending on department and experience.
Successful completion of an HHC Basic Rhythm Interpretation Course or CLEP Exam within nine (9) months of hire.
Successful candidates will be subject to criminal background and drug screens.
