Systems Engineer KBR has an exciting opportunity supporting Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Automatic Test Systems (ATS) Division (AFLCMC/WNA) acquisition programs. The successful candidate should be self-driven and experienced at developing engineering elements of acquisition strategies and acquisition documentation for weapon system acquisition programs, enjoy working in a fast-paced, responsive, and collaborative environment, and dedicated to the success of our customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
Provide technical inputs to acquisition and contracting strategies at both the enterprise and programmatic levels, including development of such acquisition documents as Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs), Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), Programmatic Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Evaluations (PESHEs), Performance Work Statements (PWSs), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Source Selection Plans (SSPs) and other similar acquisition documentation. Evaluate and assess enterprise and program objectives, in conjunction with system specifications and technical documentation, to ensure engineering requirements are successfully translated into acquisition requirements for both enterprise and program acquisition efforts. Communicate frequently with Government technical and programmatic counterparts to ensure plans and acquisition documentations meet content, quality and schedule expectations. Travel:
Occasional travel required (10-15%). BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
BS degree in engineering or applied science with at least 4 years of related experience. Practical experience with the Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF), DoDI 5000.02, and the Engineering of Defense Systems, DoDI 5000.88, along with the application of NIST SP 800-53 RMF Controls to a weapon system. Knowledge of Systems Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) principles, verification and certification requirements, and their application to hardware and software System-of-Systems, physical or virtual. Knowledge of life cycle sustainment principles and practices, including field support, deficiency identification and correction, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Materiel Shortages (DMSMS) mitigation and their application to sustainment support contracting efforts. Qualifications:
Acquisition experience Sustainment experience Knowledge on the DoD 5000.xx 02 and 5000.88 series instructions. Familiarity with weapon system architectures as related to test requirements and engineering risk assessments. Strong communication skills with customers, end users, logisticians and analysts in order to provide recommended contractual, work breakdown and acquisition documentation language for acquisition, modification, sustainment of ATS Systems. Experience acquiring or sustaining ATS systems.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
